Passing the Guard No Gi Can Be Very Difficult
There are no pants, lapels or sleeves to grab on to so that you can complete the pass. Even if you get by the legs it can be so hard to actually pin your opponent to the ground. And even worse when they turtle things are so slippery that you fall right off the back. Trust me, I have felt your pain and would love to help. Grab my short and simple no gi instructional
Passing the Guard Is Possibly the Most Essential Skill You Need
The number one way to submit your opponent that we have seen in our sport is to get to a winning top position and then finish your opponent. It is what all of the greats have done. Roger Gracie, Xande Ribeiro, Rafael Lovato, and Gordon Ryan all pass guard and then submit their opponents. You must be able to secure winning positions if you want your game to be well rounded
